The Cochran Hose Company is proud to announce the “Get Alarmed” Program, a life-saving initiative dedicated to enhancing the safety of residents in the Sewickley, Edgeworth, Osborne, and Haysville communities. Recognizing that working smoke alarms can cut the risk of dying in a house fire in half, our goal is to ensure that no home is left unprotected.
Here’s What the “Get Alarmed” Program Offers:
- Free Smoke or Carbon Monoxide Alarms: We provide free smoke alarms to residents who need them, ensuring every home meets current safety standards.
- Professional Installation Assistance: Our team will assist with the installation of smoke alarms, battery replacements, and routine alarm checks for those requiring additional support.
- Educational Outreach: We aim to educate the community on the importance of smoke alarms, as statistics show that 3 out of every 5 fire fatalities occur in homes without working smoke detectors, and dead batteries account for one-quarter of smoke alarm failures.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners—MSA, State Farm, Home Depot, and the American Red Cross—for their support in this crucial program. Together, we are making our neighborhoods safer, one smoke alarm at a time. Join us in this vital effort to ensure every home is a safe home.
For those that live outside of our coverage area outlined above, we encourage you to contact your local fire department or reach out to the Red Cross.
